After the setbacks with Namebase and ShakeStation, the Handshake community needed a spark. In this update, we're excited to share the rebirth of LearnHNS and a suite of powerful new open-source tools built to keep the ecosystem moving forward.

Bob Wallet Rebuilt with Dark Mode

The new bobwallet.org brings a fresh dark mode interface (toggle to light mode anytime), cleaned-up blockchain explorers, and major usability improvements. This experimental version runs in SPV mode — no full node download required.

Download the experimental Bob Wallet from learnhns.com and test with a small or new wallet first.

New LearnHNS Chrome Extension Wallet

A brand new Chrome extension (forked and enhanced from ShakeWallet) lets you manage domains directly in your browser. It includes:

  • Marketplace integration
  • On-chain record management (DNS-like updates)
  • Buy names from ShakeDex listings

Perfect for quick updates without running the full desktop app.

ShakeDex Reborn at shakedex.org

ShakeDex is back and better. The new shakedex.org supports SPV mode, listings from brokers, and a full marketplace experience. You can fork the code and run your own instance for even more decentralization.

Marketplace at market.learnhns

A clean web-based marketplace at market.learnhns.com that integrates directly with Bob Wallet and the Chrome extension. Change the feed in settings to use any community-run marketplace.

On-Chain Records & HIP-018

Manage A/AAAA records and more directly on-chain through the Chrome extension. No external nameserver needed. Check the HIP-018 proposal for full details and join the GitHub discussion.

New Handshake Website Proposal

A modern, responsive, SEO-friendly proposal for the new handshake.org is live on GitHub. It includes better LLM/agent support, grand sponsors section, and more. Review and give feedback on the proposal.

Action Items for the Community

  • Review GitHub feedback on the new handshake website proposal
  • Test the experimental LearnHNS Bob Wallet and Chrome extension
  • Join discussions about HIP-018 and the new website
  • Fork the tools and run your own instances

All code is open source. The more people hosting their own ShakeDex, liquidity tools, and resolvers, the stronger and more unstoppable the Handshake network becomes.

Head over to learnhns.com to get started today. Download, test, and contribute — this is how we turn frustration into progress.

Permissionless. Decentralized. Community-driven.
